Hey again! Here is another film photography post from a wedding I recently shot.

I just get so excited when I get the email that I have my film scans back! It’s seriously like Christmas!

As you can see, I’ve been doing a lot of ‘practicing’ with shooting film, my goal is to shoot mostly film and with the weddings this year I’ve been adding it on as a little surprise gift for my couples.  It’s pretty expensive to shoot film and since that overhead hasn’t been included, I’ve been only shooting a few snippets here and there to keep my out of pocket costs low. But its totally worth it! I love how these turned out.

Amanda and Chase got married on Folly Beach,  just a 10 minute drive from downtown Charleston, SC. It was the day after a terrible storm and it was still incredibly windy near the beach. Amanda was as cool as a cucumber and the weather didn’t seem to phase her. I admired her grateful and positive attitude.

She got ready a few blocks away from the wedding venue – the day flowed so seamlessly. I LOVE her flowers from Forever Flowers of Charleston. I really have a thing for those tight bouquets, although the ones that are airy and more separated are still incredible.. I guess I love them both.  I loved the corals, pinks, peaches and ivory colors of the bouquet –  I didn’t want to stop taking pictures of them – lol!

Chase and Amanda didn’t do a first look, but instead they held hands on either side of the door for a prayer, I thought that was beautiful and so sweet. Then Amanda did a first look with her Papa and watching him tear up gave me goosebumps.  You could tell that they were both loved very much by their family and friends.

One of my favorite parts about this wedding was that they included their dogs!! I got this lucky shot of her pup wearing a ‘flower girl’ bandana. I died! So cute. If you’re ever considering including your pups in the wedding, do it! Have someone care for them and just bring them in for a quick photo or two, they don’t have to stay long.

Instead of  a cake, Amanda opted for a wedding donut tower. Who doesn’t love donuts?! I love seeing interesting alternatives to wedding cakes.

So enough of my rambling, please enjoy these photos from Amanda’s wedding!
